“Sadie helped me with my diagnosis of PCOS! I was struggling for years and did not realize how imbalanced my hormones were even while taking birth control. She is so attentive and caring. It is hard finding a provider that listens to you and aligns herself with your individual health needs.”

FAQ

Do you offer primary care services?

No, FunctNP is a functional medicine practice that is a separate complimentary service for your optimal health needs that provides an expanded overview into your health to optimize and address areas of imbalance.

Should I continue to see my primary care provider?

Absolutely yes! Functional medicine is an adjunctive provider but does not replace seeing a primary care provider annually or as directed by your provider.

What is a treatment protocol?

A treatment protocol is a protocol that may involve pharmaceutical grade supplements, prescribed medications  to optimize identified nutrient deficiencies or lab abnormalities.

How long are typical functional protocols?

Typically 3-6 months. During this time, clients are encouraged to make adaptations to diet and lifestyle to ensure habit formation for long term health improvements.

I already take some prescribed medications and supplements, should I stop taking them?

During the initial functional consultation, your provider will review your entire health history and medication list. Medications prescribed by your doctor are not discontinued but you may have additional supplements ordered if able. If discontinuation of previously prescribed medications are desired, that discussion will involve your primary care provider and occur over several visits if clinically appropriate.
