Saying “No” is an Act of Self Care.

Life has been extremely full for me as of late (and for most of us). It’s so easy to say “yes” to everything — just to appease the people and situations around us. I’ve learned to say “no” to things, people, and patterns that no longer serve me or leave me depleted. It’s only taken my whole life, but I’m here.

As I’ve worked through my System-Reset Protocol (yes, a gentle plug — but truly), I’ve realized just how much a balanced nervous system can shift everything. I think I’ve been in fight-or-flight for so long that this new sense of calm feels both surprising and sacred.

I don’t think we, as women, always allow ourselves time to pause, process, and make decisions that serve us — especially when it might inconvenience someone else. I recently said “no, I can’t” to a situation that was draining me. Old-Sadie would’ve said yes, pushed through, and paid for it later.

It’s important to hold space for yourself in your own life — and to surround yourself with people who do the same.

What’s something you’ve recently said “no” to?

And was that a turning point for you?

With care & intention,

Sadie, NP
